How to Make Spicy Peanut Butter Noodles

Step-by-Step Instructions

Boil your noodles slightly under al dente and reserve the cooking water.

Mix all the sauce ingredients in a large bowl, no need to cook it.

The completed spicy peanut butter sauce is shown in a metal mixing bowl, smooth and thick with a spoon resting inside, ready to be poured over the noodles.

Add the noodles directly into the sauce and toss until fully coated.

Cooked udon noodles are being mixed with the spicy peanut butter sauce in a large bowl until thoroughly coated, creating a glossy and rich noodle base before garnishing.

Plate, top with garnishes, and dig in.

Tips and Variations

Can I use other types of noodles?

Absolutely. Ramen, rice noodles, soba, or even spaghetti work great here.

Can I make this less spicy?

Yes! Just use less chili oil or skip it altogether. The peanut butter still makes a flavorful base.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use crunchy peanut butter instead of smooth?

Yes, it’ll add some texture to the sauce and still taste delicious.

Does this work cold as a noodle salad?

Totally! These noodles are great cold, making them perfect for meal prep or hot summer days.

How long does it keep in the fridge?

Up to 3 days. The noodles might absorb some sauce, so add a splash of water to loosen before eating.
