Beef

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger

For the Sauce

Optional Garnishes

  • Steamed rice
  • Sesame seeds
  • Scallions
  • Fried egg

Instructions

  • Heat a pan over medium heat with a bit of oil. Add the minced garlic and ginger and cook until fragrant.
  • Add in the ground beef and break it apart. Cook until mostly browned.
  • Add dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, Shaoxing wine, sesame oil, and brown sugar. Stir well and continue cooking until the sauce thickens and coats the beef.
  • Remove from the heat and serve over a fresh bowl of rice.
  • Optionally garnish with sesame seeds, scallions, and a fried egg.
