Servings: 2 servings
- 8 oz noodles of choice I love instant ramen
- 3 cloves garlic minced
Bring a pot of water to a boil and cook the noodles until 1 minute before al dente.
Heat a pan over medium heat with a bit of oil. Add the minced garlic and cook until fragrant.
Stir in the hoisin sauce, dark soy sauce, light soy sauce, and sugar. Cook for about 1 minute until the sauce begins to thicken slightly.
Add the cooked noodles in. Toss until every strand is evenly coated and the sauce clings to the noodles.
Serve immediately.
Optionally garnish with sesame seeds and scallions.
- Remove the noodles about 1 minute before al dente so they finish cooking in the sauce and soak up all the flavor.
- Dark soy sauce is optional, but it adds a deeper color and a little extra umami. Feel free to skip it if you don't have any.
- Out of hoisin? Swap in oyster sauce and add a pinch more sugar, since it's less sweet.
- Stir in a spoonful of chili crisp or sriracha at the end if you want some heat.
