  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic smashed or minced
  • 2 Thai chili peppers smashed or minced
  • 6 oz ground meat chicken, pork, or beef
  • 1 handful Thai basil

Sauce

  • Fried egg for topping

Instructions

  • Heat oil in a pan and sauté onions, garlic, and chilies for 2 minutes.
  • Add ground meat and cook for 2 more minutes.
  • Add sauce and stir until the meat is well coated and sauce is mostly absorbed.
  • Stir in Thai basil just until wilted.
  • Serve next to hot rice and top with a fried egg if desired.
